About me
I am a documentary filmmaker of Ngāti Kahungunu descent. My work has screened on television, at festivals, and on the web all around the world. I am passionate about telling stories about the world around us that are not immediately obvious, the people and the stories that are not often seen or heard from. These are the gems. I am interested in the human condition, what makes people tick, get angry, love. My work ranges from the highly commercial to the highly experimental. My documentaries are frequently about niche subjects that have broad appeal to wide audiences. I have worked as a documentary filmmaker for over 25 years both in New Zealand and the United States.
