At our recent Aho Wānanga, we delved into the swift emergence of artificial intelligence and its far-reaching impact across various sectors.
We explored how AI is revolutionising workflows, boosting efficiency, and enabling scalable growth in business, film, and the creative arts. Our kōrero highlighted AI's role as a tool to enhance productivity and creativity, rather than a replacement for human talent.
We showcased innovative adaptations of AI within te ao Māori, with speakers from diverse backgrounds sharing their experiences. Crucially, we emphasised the importance of integrating tikanga and Māori values into AI development and use. We discussed how cultural practices like tapu and noa should guide our approach to AI, especially concerning data and ownership.
With the majority of online content expected to be AI-generated soon, we stressed the need for responsible and ethical engagement with this technology. Our wānanga encouraged us all to embrace AI as a powerful tool for innovation while staying true to our values.
Ka nui te mihi nui to all who contributed to this kōrero!
