Producer & Production Manager Development Opportunity
We are excited to share about an upcoming 3-day wānanga by My Wow Factory's Sandra Richmond, specifically designed for emerging and intermediate Māori Producers, as well as experienced Production Managers looking to transition into senior roles.
This workshop will take place in Tāmaki Makaurau from 29-31 May 2025 and is intentionally intimate, offering just 10 spots to ensure a rich, hands-on experience.
Wānanga Details:
This program will focus on the key aspects of production, empowering participants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Day 1: RFP & Full Proposals
Participants will explore what broadcasters and funders seek, what they have to offer, and how to successfully deliver on those expectations.
- Day 2: Pre-Production & Production
The second day will provide insights into line producing and the A-Z of production roles. Practical tips for managing schedules, budgets, reporting, and accountability will be shared.
- Day 3: Post-Production & Close Off
The final day will cover the essential checks for the final product and deliverables to funders. Attendees will learn how to effectively close off a project and what a final producer's report should include.
This wānanga encourages an open forum environment, allowing participants to discuss their experiences, challenges, and areas where they wish to learn more. Key topics such as language, audiences, and platforms that funders prioritise will be addressed.
Participants will also receive a starter take-away folder containing resources from broadcasters, funders, guilds, and production materials to assist in building their own Producer manual.
Those interested in deepening their understanding of production processes and networking with fellow creators are encouraged to apply!
How to Apply:
